Leonard D. Walkowski, age 80, of Richmond, died Sunday evening (October 30, 2005) at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 22, 1925 to John and Stella Oskard Walkowski and had lived in this area for the past 16 years. He was a graduate of Ball State University and of Butler University. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and of the Korean War and he was a retired teacher at the Indiana School for the Blind. He was a member of American Legion Post 65 and of VFW 1108. His wife, Arlene Walkowski, died on July 2, 1987.
