Lester "Foxy" Fox, age 95, of Richmond, died Thursday (January 7, 2010) at his residence. He was born in Knott County, Kentucky on October 15, 1914 to Walter and Bertha Judd Fox and had lived in this area most of his life. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Lester was a retired 36 year employee of Hill's Roses where he served as supervisor in the shipping department. He also worked for Paust Printers for 17 years. He was very active, devoted and faithful to his church and to the other causes he served. He was proud to be a deliverer for Meals on Wheels until the age of 92. Lester was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a Life Member of the Eagles Lodge. His first wife, Ethel Fox, died on October 30, 1998. His second wife, Bertha Harrison Fox, died on February 19, 2007. Survivors include two sisters - Mary M. DeMais of Richmond and Vivian M. Baker of Richmond; grandchildren - Clinton Gough, Angela Bailey, James Gough; very special friend - Carla Maurer of Richmond, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 7:30 pm on Sunday (January 10, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor John Maples will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday (January 10, 2010) from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels 1200 Reid Parkway, Richmond, Indiana 47374, to Fellowship Baptist Church, 655 Salisbury Road South, Richmond, Indiana 47374 or to a favorite charity.
