Linda Philpot, age 66, left for Heaven on Tuesday (September 16, 2014) from Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. The old hymn says, "Oh, it is a great, great morning that first day in Heaven, when you realize your worried days are through…" Linda was born in Piqua, Ohio on October 2, 1947 to the late Byron and Lura (Penrod) Supinger and lived in Ohio and Indiana all of her life. Linda's faith sustained her through many years of illness. She fought the good fight with strength and a grateful attitude. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Hiram; daughters, Tammy (Alan) Stoner and Gena (Chuck) Wells; sisters, Monna (Joyce) Weaver and Sandy (Patrick) Rhoton; brother, Gale (Becky) Supinger; grandchildren, Christina (Joby) Schutte-Mitchell, Cyndi (Melvin) Schutte-Lady, Bill (KC) Arnold, Byron Arnold, Charles (Christine) Arnold, Jake Arnold, Adam Arnold, Tasha (Michael) Jones, Nikki (Jeremy) Rutan, and Rosie Stoner; 18 great-grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; and countless friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Arnold; brothers, Larry Supinger and Keith Supinger; a niece, Cindy Hodge; and a great-granddaughter Faith Arnold. A public memorial service will take place at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary on Saturday (September 27, 2014) at 12 p.m. Grandson Byron Arnold will lead the service.
