Lloyd George Ritchie, age 50, died Saturday (January 25, 2014) at his home. He graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1981. Lloyd worked as a police officer for Centerville, Indiana for 23 years, a job he loved almost as much as he loved his family, boating and fishing. He also worked as a part-time dispatcher for the Wayne County 911 Emergency Center, a job he held full-time before becoming a police officer for Centerville. He worked as an EVOC instructor for Wayne County police departments and as a reserve officer for the Cambridge City Police Department. Lloyd served as treasurer for John Henniger Lodge 63 FOP. He participated for several years in the Shop With A Cop Program and enjoyed dressing as Santa Claus to hand out presents to the children during the Santa Breakfast. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Anna Sue (Philpot) Ritchie; He also leaves nieces and nephews that will always remember their Uncle Lloyd that includes Amanda E. Philpot, Luke A. Philpot, Skylar J. Burdette, Mackenzie J. Philpot, Madison I. Philpot, Peyton M. Philpot, Noah J. Philpot, Ryan D. Philpot, Olivia I. Philpot. He also leaves behind friends Randy and Christine, Greg and Kim and Mike Rice. Lloyd will be remembered by the many friends, associates and acquaintances he met throughout is life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd George Ritchie, Sr. and Partricia Elizabeth (Donavan) Ritchie. Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (January 31, 2014) in Centerville Christian Church. Rev. Martin Holman will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday (January 30, 2014) from 4:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Centerville Police Department, P.O.
