Lois M. Daugherty, 89 of Richmond passed away Thursday September 6, 2018 at Reid Hospital. She was born in Darke County, OH on December 16, 1928 to George and Lenore Wilcox Alexander. Lois married Marshall Daugherty in the Cedar Grove Church parsonage on September 10, 1949 in Darke County Ohio. They raised Registered Jersey Cows on their dairy farm for over 40 years. She was a lifelong member of Whitewater Christian Church having been a member for almost 90 years. The family would like to thank Reid Hospice, Dr. David Desantis and special hospice nurse Julie for all their wonderful care and compassion.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years Marshall; children Nancy Hodges of Athens, Alabama and Sally (Jeff) Hughes of Richmond; grandsons Jon (Sara) Hodges of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Hodges of Huntsville, Alabama, Evan Hodges of Atlanta, Georgia, and great grandchildren Lilly and Isla Hodges of Atlanta, Georgia. Lois is preceded in death by her parents George and Lenore Alexander; siblings Maurice and Marion Alexander and son-in-law Robert Hodges.

A Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday September 9, 2018 at Whitewater Christian Church. Pastor Gordon Mehaffey will officiate. Burial will be on Monday September 10, 2018 at the convenience of the family.
