Louise Newton, age 82, of Richmond, died Monday afternoon (March 4, 2013) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on November 8, 1930 to Hiram and Margaret Sandlin Grimes and moved back here in 2005 after living in Florida for twenty years. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Edgar Newton, died in 1983. Survivors include her sons, Darrell Newton of Richmond, Larry Newton of Kentucky, Michael Newton of Richmond, Gary Newton of Kentucky; brothers, William Grimes of Richmond, Roy Grimes of Florida, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, 3 brothers, Robert Grimes, Wilson Grimes, Alonzo Baughn, and a sister, Barbara Grimes, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday (March 8, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Martin Holman will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.
