Lowell L. Blade, age 62, of Richmond, died Sunday evening (January 6, 2008) at Reid Hospital.� He was born in Richmond on September 21, 1945 to Lester and Valona M. Kuhlow Blade and had lived here all of his life.� He was a graduate of Richmond High School and had worked for the former Bowen Oldsmobile and the former Wellings Meats.
Lowell was active with the Community Council on Disabilty Awareness and was named the Disabled Person of the Year in 2006.
Survivors include his sister - Janice Jennings of Kunnarra, Western Australia; aunt and uncle - Wilma and Myrrill Rinehart of Richmond; uncle - Earl Kuhlow of Tarpon Springs, Florida;� long time companion - Carol Toschlog of Richmond;� good friend - Steve Wheeler of Eldorado, Ohio.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday (January 10, 2008) in Saint Mary Church.� Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.� Friends may call on Thursday (January 10, 2007) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.� Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.�
