Magdolen Olga Svarczkopf Fuller Magdolen Olga Svarczkopf Fuller, 84, Richmond, died peacefully July 20, 2010, at home. Mrs. Fuller worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Fuller Wallcoverings, for 45 years. She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Richmond, the daughter of Frank and Magdolna (Hausman) Svarczkopf. She attended St. Andrew grade school during elementary and then graduated from Richmond High School in 1943. Shortly after graduation, she joined the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, as a novice in 1944. In 1950, she left the convent, and took a secretarial position with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. She later worked as a stenographer at the Pentagon, near Washington, D.C. In 1955, she returned to Indiana and taught second grade at Holy Family Catholic School and later at Camden Elementary School. She married Joseph Francis Fuller Oct. 9, 1965. He survives. Mrs. Fuller was a member of St. Andrew Church and served on numerous councils, committees and ministries. As a young mother, she was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader and a summer camp coordinator. She was a past president of the Seton Home and School Association. She received many awards including: Distinguished Hoosier, from the Indiana General Assembly in 2002; Distinguished Graduate from the Department of Elementary Schools of the National Catholic Education Association; and honored, as an alumni, at the 2002 Seton Star Spectacular as a Seton Star for her outstanding dedication to Seton Schools. She was heavily involved with most committees for the Richmond Catholic Community including Parish Picnic Coordinator, Parish Council Member, and most recently served the Richmond Catholic Community in any capacity needed. She was a member of the 3rd Order of Carmelites, YMI, and Cursillo. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Regina Rexrode (John) and two grandchildren, Andrew and Andrea Rexrode, Noblesville; three brothers, Ambrose Svarczkopf, Richmond, George Svarczkopf, New Jersey and Tony Svarczkopf, Indianapolis; two sisters, Ilona Benjamin, Pennsylvania and Irene Lohmeier, California, along with scores of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Frank, Jr., and five sisters, Mary Coddington, Emma Gunsalus, Elizabeth Bodolai, Marge Cassel and Helen Toney. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (July 23, 2010) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (July 24, 2010) at St. Andrew Church.
