Margaret A. Buroker, age 88 of Richmond, Indiana died Monday January 22, 2024, at Reid Hospital. She was born in Preble County, Ohio on December 19, 1935, to Raymond and Harriet Faucett and graduated from Richmond High School. Margaret married Malcolm Buroker on June 12, 1955, in the Richmond Church of the Brethren. She attended First Friends church after the dissolution of Richmond Church of the Brethren. Margaret was a crossing guard for 51 years; and was well known within the community. She was a cancer survivor, after her passing she elected to become a tissue donor and her donations will be used for skin grafts for other cancer survivors.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Pat (Karen) Buroker; daughter Carla Maurer; siblings Robert (Betty) Faucett, Carolyn Harris, Donna Walcott, Janet Roark and Naomi (Joe) Vance; granddaughter Crissy (JJ) Cornett; 2 great grandchildren Jacey Cornett and Jackson Cornett; special church friend Barbara Jenkins; special dog Abby and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by brothers Dale, Dwain, Harry, Joe and David Faucett and sister Esther Lang.
Mike Nottingham will officiate services for Margaret at 1:00 P.M. on Friday January 26, 2024, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Friday January 26, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service in Lutherania Cemetery.
