Margaret Svarczkopf, 86, of Richmond, Indiana passed away Saturday (January 13, 2018) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 31, 1931 to Herschel and Katherine Williams. Margaret was a hardworking and giving individual. She spent most of her working career in church service at St. Andrews Catholic Church including 20 years as church sacristan for funerals. She was also President of St. Annes Altar Society, cheerleading coach, secretary, and served as called for other duties at the church. She enjoyed being and was a fantastic mother, grandmother, and great grandmother spending time with and loving her family.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years Ambrose Svarczkopf; children Kyle Svarczkopf (Carol), Timothy Svarczkopf (Teresa), and Andrea Mosey (Steve); brother Roland Williams (Glora); 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Mona Svarczkopf; son Kevin Svarczkopf (Lisa surviving); her parents Herschel and Katherine Williams; and 1 sister (Judith Carty).
Visitation will be held at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday (January 16, 2018). Funeral mass will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday (January 17, 2018). Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. Father Kevin Morris and Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf will concelebrate.
