Margie A. Halcomb, age 61, died Wednesday (November 23, 2016) at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 16, 1955 in Manchester, Kentucky to Herles and Gladys May Downey. Margie was a homemaker and an extraordinary cook. She had a big heart and was always willing to help others. Margie was a great housekeeper and had a great love for music.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Halcomb; children Jerry Lee Davis, Jr., Carolyn Mullins, Bridgit Halcomb; step-son Robert L. Halcomb; her father, Herles Downey; brother Johnny Downey; sister Carolyn Capps; other siblings in Manchester, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother a brother, Everett Grubbs, is also deceased.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday (November 30, 2016) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Friends may call on Wednesday (November 30, 2016) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. www.riggle-waltermann.com
