Marie Fredricks, age 98, of Richmond, died Tuesday afternoon (July 26, 2011) at her residence. She was born in Richmond on June 2, 1913 to Salvatore and Filomena Sena DiGianni and had lived here all of her life. She was a member of Saint Mary Church, a homemaker and an active volunteer. Among her many activities, she contributed 31 years of service to Reid Hospital and 14 years of service to Circle U Help Center. Her husband, Ernest Fredricks, died in 1973. Survivors include her son - Dr. Dan Fredricks of Loretto, Pennsylvania; sister - Helen Hilligoss of Centerville; step-son - Lee Federico of Eaton, Ohio; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, three brothers and two sisters are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (July 29, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
