Marilyn (Rheinhardt) Withrow, 91, our beloved and devoted mother passed away on February 12th, 2025, in Richmond, Indiana, surrounded by all of her children. She was born on August 13, 1933, in Richmond, Indiana, to Mildred and Clarence (Lindy) Lienemann. Marilyn, a life-long Catholic, attended Saint Andrew's grade school and graduated from Richmond Senior High School. She had many roles over her lifetime, but viewed her greatest accomplishment as her 4 children, Sherry Rankin, Steven Rheinhardt, David Rheinhardt and Melanie Heath, her pride and joy. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother/grandmother who maintained a meticulous home and was a great cook passing on those traditions to her children and grandchildren. She was known for her sense of timeless fashion and was a masterful shopper! She had a wonderful sense of humor and a knack for writing humorous poems that her children can all attest to and treasure. She loved playing cards, dancing, having a margarita and gathering with family and friends. Marilyn had many life-long friendships. During her later years, she loved her sports and was an avid fan of the Pacers, Colts and professional tennis.
One of her greatest achievements was passing on her faith to her children and grandchildren. She loved the Lord, and prayer and the rosary was part of her daily life. She is loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed, leaving a void that cannot be filled.
Marilyn was preceded in death by spouses Merle Leroy Rheinhardt and Albert Earl Withrow; grandchild, Stevie Rheinhardt; great grandchild, Devon Rheinhardt; and sister, Viola Reece. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Rankin (Darrell); son, Steven Rheinhardt; son, David Rheinhardt (Jayne); and daughter, Melanie Heath (Paul); 16 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren
