Mark E. Garrett, age 62, of Richmond, passed away Friday evening, March 24, 2023, at Reid Health. He was born on June 1, 1960 in Richmond and had lived here all of his life. Mark had worked as a welder at the former Wayne Works. He was very fond of Mountain Dew and was an avid Beatles fan. He considered himself the "6th Beatle". He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Alisha (Chris) Doty and Matthew Garrett; sisters Darlene Walcot, Joy West and Jamie Gellenger; grandchildren Noah Henson and Griffin Doty. He also leaves his close friend and Meridian case worker Lindsay Gierzak and special friends Sherry and Daren Lamb. He was preceded in death by his wife Tammy Wright Garrett; mother Alverta Marlene Yingst; sister Tammy Kegley and brother Tim Garrett. Also preceding him in death was a very close uncle, Clifford Yoland Yingst, who died when Mark was much younger.

Services will be held on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Judy Jackson will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
