Obituary

Martha H.Taggart, age 97, of Richmond, died Thursday evening (March 21, 2013) at Ambassador Healthcare. She was born in Richmond on December 12, 1915 to Russell and Erma Livelsberger Suits and was raised here by her mother and her step-father, Russell Lamm. She had worked at the former Atlas Underwear Company and had operated , with her husband, the City Cab Company for 28 years. They also operated Martha' s Vineyard which later was named the Oasis. She loved animals and cared for many pets over the years. She was a member of Saint Andrew Church. Her husband, James Taggart, died in 1987. Survivors include her grandchildren, Christopher Taggart of Lawrenceburg, Debra Taggart of Lawrence burg, John (Lori) Taggart of Richmond; great grandchildren, Tess Hamilton of New Orleans, Madison Taggart of Cincinnati, A.J. Kenworthy of Richmond; brother, Russell Lamm of Huber Heights, Ohio; a nephew and two nieces. She also leaves her special companion, "Abby". Her son, James Taggart, died in 1984. A granddaughter, Rebecca Taggart, and a twin sister, Arlisa Crull, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m on Wednesday (March 27, 2013) at Riggle ��" Waltermann Mortuary. Deacon Frank Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (March 27, 2013) from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m at the funeral home.
