Martin L. (Marty) Miller, age 69, passed away Saturday, October 13, at his home after a long illness, with his family and beloved dog, Zach, at his side.� He was born July 31, 1938 to Paul K. and Dorothy (Zeyen) Miller.

He attended St. Andrew's Parochial School and graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1956.� He served with the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960, one year of which he was stationed in Labrador.
�
He retired from the former Richmond Concrete (now Ernst Concrete) in 2000.
�
He was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Liberty, Indiana, the Young Men's Institute, the Laborers' International Union of North America Local 1047, and past member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church.
�
Marty enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and woodworking.� He loved watching all motor sports, especially NASCAR;� and most of all he loved spending time with his family.� He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
�
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Shirley Ann (Campbell) Miller, whom he married May 9, 1959;� three daughters, Kristy (Joe) Porfidio, Tamara (Brian) Jones, Kelly (Steve) Mooney;� six grandchildren, Sarah Porfidio, Emily Porfidio, Christina Jones, Stuart Jones, Tony Duncan and Andrea Duncan;� two step-grandchildren, Jason (Blerina) Mooney and Courtney Mooney;� three great grandchildren, Darius, Aaliyah,� Aiden and two step-great grandchildren, Jacob and Brandon;� and best friend, Scott Vogelgesang.

Also surviving are five brothers, Pete Miller, Jack (June) Miller, Kenny (Barbara) Miller, Jim (Becky Miller, Ron (Bo) Miller;� three sisters, Patty (Rick) Wessel, Donna (Marvin) Vance, Kathy (Kenny) Hammons and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marilyn Taylor, and son-in-law Joseph Porfidio.

Funeral services are on Thursday (October 18, 2007) at 9:30 am in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th St. Richmond, followed by Rite of Christian Burial at St. Andrew's Catholic Church and burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery.� Friends and family may call on Wednesday (October 17, 2007) from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.� Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 689, Columbus, Indiana� 47202 or to St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 240 South 6th St. Richmond, Indiana 47374
