Obituary

Mary Alice Kimbrough, born November 30, 1933, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 3, 2010 at her home. She was born to Louis Elwood and Maude Alice (Pierce) Foster in Princeton, Indiana. She was the youngest of seven children. Mary was a very talented artist. President George Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and Judy O'Bannon are examples of those that were gifted their portraits in oil by Mary. She loved painting and sharing her work. Mary met and touched many people, who became friends, through her art. She was also a book illustrator. Mary had worked at Hoffco Comet for ten years where she completed all of the artwork and design for publications. She created the Hoffco logo "Hoffie". She and her husband, Robert E. Kimbrough, owned and operated Kimbrough Printing. Mary was a member of the local Art Club, Garden Club and Friends of the Library. She is survived by four children - Debbie (Rick Lehman) Kimbrough, Dennie (Cheryl) Kimbrough, Pam (Marvin) Kenworthy and Mike Kimbrough; six grandchildren - Matthew Kimbrough, Shaye Isaacs, Kara Kenworthy, Joe, Erick and Gabe Kimbrough; two great grandchildren - Caleigh Isaacs and Noah Kenworthy; Mary has a sister - Bettye Lindy of Fairborn, Ohio; a brother - Bill Foster of Vincennes, Indiana; nieces, nephews, many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert E. Kimbrough; her dear brothers - Louis, Elwood, Jerry, Frank and John Foster. Mary will always be remembered for her loving and kind spirit, her forgiving attitude, great sense of humor, her deep love of God and all of her family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday (December 8, 2010) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Services will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday (December 9, 2010) in Central United Methodist Church (1425 East Main Street) with visitation in the church parlor starting at 5:00 pm. Rev. Phillip Dorrell and Rev. Eldon Harzman will officiate. A private burial will be on Friday (December 10, 2010) in Earlham Cemetery.
