Mary R. Carr, age 78, of Richmond, died Wednesday (November 16, 2005) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on December 15, 1926 to Noah and Ora Belle Manning Snyder and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Richmond High School and had worked in food service at Earlham College. She was a retired employee of Old Richmond Inn and she was a member of Saint Mary Church. Her husband, James J. Carr, died on February 24, 1983.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday (November 20, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday (November 19, 2005) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
