Mary Rose (Clipp) Rosenbaum passed away on Sunday May 4, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born in Campbellsburg, Indiana on March 14, 1932 to L. Glenn Clipp and Anna Mae (Bishop) Clipp. Mary Rose graduated from Orleans High School, Orleans Indiana in 1950 as Valedictorian of her class. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in English from Indiana State Teachers College and her Master's Degree in Education from Purdue University. Mary Rose was married to Charles W. "Bill" Rosenbaum on May 13, 1953. After raising their four children, Mary Rose substituted in the Richmond Community Schools for 27 years. Her enjoyment of children led to 20 plus years as a Wayne Co. 4-H leader. She was an avid gardener and she and her husband enjoyed and volunteered at Richmond High School basketball and football games for many years. They traveled with groups to see out of town games as well. Her heart and much of her time was given to those in need, underprivileged and widowed in her church and in the Richmond community area. She was a long time member of the Sylvan Nook church of Christ where she taught children and ladies Bible classes for over 60 years. Her passion in life was to serve others. Mary Rose will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Ed Rosenbaum (Ronda) of Avon, IN, Lynn Rosenbaum of Columbus, OH, Lisa (Rosenbaum) Carpenter (John) of Mogadore, OH and Leah Rosenbaum of Richmond IN; grandchildren: Alyssa (Rosenbaum) Bost, Hilary (Rosenbaum) Johnson, Meredith (Rosenbaum) Fear, Ben Carpenter, Luke Carpenter, Nathan Carpenter and Carrie Carpenter; 14 great grandchildren; sister Betty Jean (Clipp) Hartley (Gene); niece Rita (Hartley) Maudlin (Ronnie) and many beloved nieces and nephews by marriage. In addition to her parents, Mary Rose is preceded in death by her husband Charles "Bill" Rosenbaum.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at Sylvan Nook Church of Christ with Mike Ballard officiating. Friends may call from 3pm-5pm at the church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday May 8, 2025 in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans, Indiana. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is handling arrangements.
