Obituary

Mary Coddington, age 91, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday (April 29, 2008) at Reid Hospital.� �She was born on September 10, 1916 to Frank and Katherine Rokozy Svarczkopf.� She was raised by her father and step-mother, Magdolna Svarczkopf.� She lived in Richmond all of her life and was married on November 20, 1941 to Marvin Coddington.� She retired from Hutton Manufactuing Company after 30 years of service and she was a member of Holy Family Church.� Mary loved life and enjoyed attending family gatherings and playing euchre and Phase 10.�Survivors include a step-daughter - Betty Lou (Walt) Burns of Plymouth, Indiana; three sisters - Olga (Joe) Fuller of Richmond, Ilona (Wilbur) Benjamin of West Chester, Pennsylvania and Irene (Ken) Lohmeier of South Lake Tahoe, California;� three brothers - Ambrose (Margaret) Svarczkopf of Richmond, George (Louise) Svarczkopf of Lakewood, New Jersey and Anthony (Joan) Svarczkopf of Indianapolis; a step-granddaughter - Sharon Walters, step grandson - Steve Burns;� two special nieces - Mary Kay Hankosky and Lannie Stapleton both of Richmond and many more nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.�Her husband, Marvin Coddington, died on June 7, 1974.� Four sisters, Elizabeth Bodolai, Emma Gunsalus, Marge Cassel and Helen Toney, and one brother, Frank Svarczkopf, Jr. are also deceased.�A prayer service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday (May 2, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm in Holy Family Church. (815 West Main St. Richmond).� Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.� Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday (May 1, 2008) at the funeral home.� Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Catholic Schools of to Holy Family Church both in care of 240 South 6th St. Richmond, IN 47374. www.riggle-waltermann.com
