Mary E. Maurer, age 84, of Richmond, died Thursday (April 1, 2010) at Arbor Trace. She was born in Richmond on March 10, 1926 to Henry and Hedwig Seegers Luerman and had lived here all of her life. Mary was a 1942 graduate of Richmond High School and a member of Saint Andrew Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Catholic Women United. Her husband of 55 years, Charles E. Maurer, Sr., died on October 16, 2002. Survivors include sons - Charles (Tonya) Maurer of Richmond, Kenneth (Judy) Maurer of Richmond, Raymond (Gwen) Maurer of Columbus, Ohio; daughters - Joan (Jay) Mikesell of Richmond, Diane Maurer of Richmond; sisters - Hilda Herold of Richmond, Martha Jane (Cliff) Dickman of Richmond; brothers - Rev. John Luerman of Richmond; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A daughter, Karen Sue Maurer and brothers, Carl Luerman and Robert Luerman are also deceased. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday (April 6, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Father John Luerman and Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (April 5, 2010) from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
