Mary Ann Needles, age 71, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (October 4, 2006) at her residence.� She was born in Wayne County on March 10, 1935 to Otto and Roberta Meyer and had lived here all of her life.� She had worked in the dietary department at Reid Hospital from 1977 to 1993.� Mary Ann loved animals and devoted her life to rescuing and caring for them.� Her husband, Melvin Needles, died� June 19, 1992.

Survivors include her daughter - Deborah Jones of Richmond;

Son - Joe Spencer of Westville, Indiana;

Brothers - Robert Meyer of Richmond, Norman Meyer of Arizona

Grandson - Tyler Spencer of Richmond;

Numerous special friends including Betty Graves of Richmond

In addition to her parents, her step-father Frank Moore, and a daughter, Robin Spencer are also deceased.
