Mary Ellen Spencer, age 79, of Richmond, died Monday evening (September 6, 2004) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Union County, Indiana on October 1, 1924 to John and Carrie Steele McCarty and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked in the Dietary Department at Friends Fellowhship Community. She was a member of First Christian Church. Her husband, Clarence Spencer, died on October 17, 1983.
There are no immediate survivors.
Public graveside services will be held on Monday (September 13, 2004) at 11:00 am in Richland Cemetery (Union County, Indiana). There will be no public calling. Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary is handling arrangements. www.riggle-waltermann.com
