Mica Shawn Griffith, age 47, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 4, 1976, to John William "Butch" Griffith and Aileen Pierson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Leah Griffith; children Amiya Griffith and Mica "MJ" Griffith Jr.; father John "Butch" Griffith; mother Aileen Pierson; sister Genea (Richard) Carden; brother Travis (Tina) Griffith; his Montana family; several nieces and nephews; other loved ones and friends. He is preceded in death by his stepfather John "JP" Pierson.

Mica was known for his big heart, blue eyes, and sweet smile. His legacy will live on in his wife and children. Both of Mica's kidneys were donated according to his wishes through the Indiana Donor Network; yet another act of selflessness. He will always be part of our lives, looking down on us, protecting us, hugging us, and laughing with us. Remember the good times.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the YMI Club, 320 S 5th St, Richmond, IN 47374. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Mica's name to a charity of your choosing.
