Michael S. Dudas, age 72, of Richmond, died Friday evening (February 28, 2014) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on May 28, 1941 to Michael and Anna Kolentus Dudas and had lived here most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School and had worked for the Richmond Water Company and the Ashtabula, Ohio Water Company, for Wayne Works and for Marvel Industries. Mike was an avid reader and loved trivia. He was a golf "nut" and a "dyed in the wool" Cleveland Browns fan. He was a member of Saint Andrew Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Kay Dudas, whom he married on November 4, 1961; children, Eric (Angela) Dudas of Newburgh, Indiana, Chris Dudas of Richmond, Julie (Rocky) Vecera of Richmond, Andy (Andrea) Dudas of Richmond, Nick (Deseria) Dudas of Richmond and Michael Dudas of Richmond; brothers, John (Kathleen) Dudas of Richmond, Steve (Sandra) Dudas of Sebring, Florida; sister, Mary Meek of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves his granddog "Frank". He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Martha Ann and Theresa. A prayer service will be conducted at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday (March 6, 2014) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (March 5, 2014) from 4:00 p.m. To 7:00 p.m. at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
