Michael J. Luken, age 59, of Richmond, died Saturday (September 15, 2018) in Connersville. He was born in Richmond on May 16, 1959 to Augustus and Irene Gardner Luken and had lived here all of his life before moving to Connersviile a few years ago. Michael was a loving and caring person. He had worked for Frisch's Restaurant and had been a participant in the Richmond Catholic Community SPRED Program and Boy Scouts.
Survivors include his sisters Mary Jane Luken of Maryland, Katherine (Michael) Puthoff-Hollister of California, Peggy (Jim) Rogers of Pinehurst, NC, Dorothy Hughes of Wisconsin; brothers Lawrence (Meg) Luken of Texas, Ronald (Joan) Luken and John (Sandy) Luken both of Indianapolis; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, a brother, Anthony Luken, is also deceased.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (October 20, 2018) in Holy Family Church, 815 West Main Street, with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday (October 20, 2018) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
