Michael "Stumpy" Scott Snowden, a beloved father, devoted son, and cherished friend, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on November 8, 1971, in Richmond, IN, Michael lived a life full of laughter, love, and a passion for adventure.
As a heavy equipment operator for the City of Richmond, Mike was known for his hard work and dedication. Whether he was at work or enjoying his free time, his love for the outdoors shone through. Mike was an avid Harley rider, always eager to hit the open road on his bike. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, shooting, and spent many hours working outside. He found joy in 3D printing and had a knack for creating unique projects.
But above all, Mike was a proud dad. The birth of his daughters, Mika and Harley, was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. Whether they were hanging out, shopping at Harbor Freight, or embarking on new adventures, Mike's love for his girls was unmatched.
Mike is survived by his father, John Snowden; his mother, Alberta Snowden; his two daughters, Mika and Harley; his brother, Ronnie (Diana) Snowden; his girlfriend Tammy Ward and her children Caden, Courtney and Chase; his brother-in-law, Michael McCurdy; best friends Bob Wilkinson and Tim Lanman and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Kimberly McCurdy.
Gary Snowden will officiate services for Mike at 1:00 PM on Monday April 27, 2026, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Family and friends can pay their respects during a public viewing at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
