Millie Knox. Age 73, of Richmond, died Thursday (December 15, 2005) in the Oak Bend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas after a long illness. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on June 30, 1932 to Norman and Modda McLemore and had lived in Richmond for 70 years. She retired in 1994 as an employee of Belden. Millie enjoyed gardening, traveling with her long-time friend Esther Ankrom and spending time with her grandchildren. Her beloved husband of 32 years, Charles (Bill) Knox, died in 1983.
Millie leaves to cherish her memory - Sons - Charles (Donna) Knox of Eaton, Ohio, Kelly Knox of La Grange, Texas; Daughters - Cathy Caughman of La Grange, Texas, Brenda (Greg) Duckworth of Sugarland, Texas; Brothers - Burt McLemore of Richmond, Rufus McLemore of Richmond, Dale McLemore of Connersville; Sister - Thelma Pyles of Florida; Grandchildren - Shawn (Michelle) Caughman, Heather Knox, Alyke Knox, Katy Duckworth, Sydney Duckworth; Great Grandchildren - Tyler and Dalton Caughman; Nieces & Nephews
Two sisters, Dixie Lawhorn and Wanda Ponder, are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (December 20, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Phillip Hodgkin will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Friends may call on Monday (December 19, 2005) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
