Myer G. Shank, age 84, of Richmond, died Saturday afternoon (May 21, 2005) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Farmland, Indiana on August 16, 1920 to Wallace T. and Sarah B. Grove Shank . He grew up and lived in the Randolph/Wayne County area and lived in California from 1970 - 1983 before moving back to this area. He was a US Army veteran of World War II having served in the South Pacific. He had worked at Wayne Works and he was a very active member of Central Baptist Church having served as trustee for several years. His first wife, Margaret V. Gibbons, whom he married on April 12, 1941, died on April 8, 2004. His second wife, Dorothy Newton Lawson. whom he married on February 8, 1969, died on March 8, 1985.
Survivors include - Wife - Mary Shank whom he married February 14, 1986

Daughter - Patty Smith of Richmond

A daughter, Judy Shank, died July 11, 1993. A sister and 3 brothers are also deceased.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday (May 24, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Sam Smith, Rev. Paul Large and Rev. Lester Maples will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veteran's Council. Friends may call on Monday (May 23, 2005) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
