Myrtle Irene Avery, age 94, of Richmond, died Tuesday (September 6, 2005) at Golden Rule - Beverly Healthcare after a short illness. She was born in Preble County, Ohio on April 28, 1911 to Albert and Emma Hapner Petry and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Charles W. Avery, died on February 1, 1989.
Survivors include - Daughter - Marilyn (J. Charlie) Lea of Richmond

Two brothers, Morton and Raymond Petry, and two sisters Opal Neinke and Rachel Stevens, are also deceased.
A private service will be held on Friday (September 9, 2005) at 11:30 am (Indiana time) in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. There will be no public calling.
