Norma Hunt Ashby, age 85, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (September 26, 2009) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on July 25, 1924 to Robert J. and Martha E. Kenney Hunt and had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a retired 43 year employee of NATCO. She was a member of Saint Andrew Church and of the NATCO 25 Year Club. Norma was an avid bowler and had a great fondness for animals. Her husband, Robert P. Ashby, died on February 2, 1997. Survivors include her brother - Richard D. (Kathleen) Hunt of Clermont, Florida, step-daughter - Cynthia Rowe of Columbia, Kentucky; a special cousin - Nancy (Tom) Cox of Richmond; 3 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Sgt. F.C. William G. Hunt, is also deceased. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (September 29, 2009) in Saint Andrew Church. (235 South 5th Street). Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday (September 29, 2009) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at the church.
