Norman R. Carpenter, age 78, of Richmond, died Thursday evening (December 6, 2007) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on November 6, 1929 to Cecil and Lucille Carpenter and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired employee of the E.G. Hill Company. Survivors include his wife of 57 years; Mila Carpenter; sons ; Dave Carpenter, Rick Carpenter and Allan Carpenter; daughters ; Donna Carpenter and Debbie Carpenter all of Richmond; a brother ; Kenneth Carpenter of Richmond; 7 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Cecil and Donald, and a sister Shirley, are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (December 11, 2007) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Fred Limburg will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (December 11, 2007) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
