Patricia Ann Davis, age 77, of Richmond died Thursday (January 24, 2013) at Golden Living Center-Golden Rule. She was born in Richmond on October 22, 1935 to Ellis and Fern DeLay and lived here until her marriage to Don Davis in 1957. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1954 and after her marriage traveled with Don while he was in the service where they spent time in Greece and France and various locations in the United States. After Don's retirement they returned to Richmond and she went to work in the print shop and mail room at Richmond Community Schools where she worked until she retired in 1998 after more than 20 years of employment. Pat was loved by all and her special smile and good humor warmed the hearts of many. Even after her illness, she could still smile and make the nurses laugh. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the machines of Las Vegas, cooking, working in her garden and doing crafts of all kinds.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Donald R Davis; two sons Randy and David (Betty) Davis of Richmond; a sister Garnell Horton of Richmond; a brother Ellis (Beverly) DeLay of Arizona; one granddaughter Stephanie (Matt) Oden of Florida; two grandsons Chris (Lindsi) Davis of New Palestine and Eric (Kimmie) Davis of Fountain City; three great grandsons Tyler, Mason and Dylan; nephews Don, Scott, and Mike; nieces Janet and Lynn; several cousins including Nancy Martin of Frankfort. In addition to her parents, brothers Lawrence and Charles, sisters Doris and Mary, father-in-law Eldon (Tuffy), brother-in-law Tom, daughter-in-law Kimberly, nephew Terry and niece Mariann Rose are also deceased.

Services will be conducted at Fountain City Wesleyan Church (5600 US 27 N) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (January 31, 2013). Pastor Greg Boyce will officiate. Burial will be in Whitewater Cemetery.
