Patricia Ann Koons of Richmond passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on March 30, 1944 to William and Evelyn (King) Constable in Richmond, Indiana where she had lived her entire life. She was a longtime member of the Catholic church where she and her husband James were active with the youth programs. Patricia loved traveling, exploring nature and learning about plants and trees that were native to each area. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening (wild flowers were her favorite) and she looked forward to her weekly gatherings with friends at the donut shop. Patricia had a passion for antiquing and was known for collecting Boyds bears. She and James always made sure to incorporate the importance of history, travel and education into their grandchildren, taking them to various historical sites and museums when they were young. Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her son William Christopher Koons; brother Carl King; grandchildren William (Alex), Whitney and Kayla (Scott); 6 great grandchildren; her cousin Debra King and many other loved family members. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband James.

Patricia had a soft spot for animals, including her little dog Lucy. To honor Patricia, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Help the Animals (P.O. Box 117 Richmond, Indiana 47375).

Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is handing arrangements.
