Patricia Ann Newman passed on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born on December 24, 1941 to parents Dr. John J Pershing and Ruth Ann Knollenberg Pershing. Patricia married George M Newman in 1961. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker with a love for travel and was a collector of themed miniatures. She was also a skilled seamstress, creating appliqued children's wear, quilts, pillows, both professionally and as a hobby.

Survivors include her husband George M Newman; children J Keith Newman, Jeffrey A (Judy) Newman and Timothy E Newman; grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew (Anandita), Daniel and Thomas; brother John J Pershing, Jr; brother-in-law Robert Mercer; nieces Denise (Terry) -who provided great support over Pat's last few weeks, Vonnie (Jeff), Theresa (Dan) and Wanda. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by sister-in-law Phyllis Mercer.

A private graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Chip Belanga at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to any of the following American Heart Association, Salvation Army and First English Lutheran Church (Richmond, IN).
