Patty Kathleen "Kathy" Poe of Richmond, age 77, transitioned from this life to the next on April 15, 2020 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, IN. She was born in New Lisbon, IN on November 9, 1942 to Hubert L. Atkinson Sr. And Dorothy (Crabtree) Atkinson.

She was a 1960 graduate of Straughn IN High School. She worked in customer service her entire life - working for Standard Grocery, managing the Customer Service Desk at Elder-Beerman and then retiring as a realtor for Jenkins Real Estate.

Kathy had many hobbies. She enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, making doll houses with her beloved friend and neighbor Marion Travis, watching TV, and cooking. She was a voracious reader and a gifted seamstress. Kathy definitely never met a stranger, she loved Christmas and seeing all the kids dressed up for Halloween.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 52 years Dale of Richmond, IN, her daughter Laura Poe of Dayton, OH, and her son Marc (Trish) Poe of Winchester, IN, 1 grandson, 4 great grandchildren, her dog Sadie and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Billy, Junior, and Joe Bill, and her nephew William Eric Atkinson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. No public services are scheduled at this time. Riggle-Waltermann mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
