Paul L. Brittenham, age 94, of Richmond, died Wednesday afternoon (October 5, 2011) at Golden Living Center - Richmond. He was born in Richmond on February 25, 1917 to Otto and Agnes Kelley Brittenham and had lived here all of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Paul had owned a grocery store in Centerville before he opened Paulee Restaurant in 1948 with his brother-in-law, Lee Schwegman and continued its operation until his retirement He was an active member of Saint Mary Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, American Legion Post 65, Knights of Columbus and was a devoted husband and father. His wife, Betty Jane Brittenham, died on May 17, 2010. Survivors include his daughters - Sally Miller of Richmond, Sue (Tony) Vaziri of Indianapolis, Beth (Chuck) Foster of Richmond; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (October 8, 2011) in Saint Mary Church. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday (October 8, 2011) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary Church % 240 South 6th Street, Richmond, Indiana 47374.
