Obituary

Paul J. Peacock, age 68, of Richmond, died Monday afternoon (February 2, 2015) at his residence after a short battle with glioblastoma. He was born in Salem, Ohio on July 29, 1946 to Abram and Jessie Woolman Peacock and had lived in Richmond since 1977. He was a graduate of Plainfield (Indiana) High School and attended Purdue University. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired employee of IBM where he worked for nearly 44 years. Survivors include his wife of forty five and one half years, Judy Peacock; children Jim (Ross Strommen) Peacock of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jonathan (Sarah) Peacock of Richmond, Julianne (Dan) Rhodes of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren Ross and Katy "Tweet Bird" Peacock and Emma Rhodes (to be born in June of this year); sister, Nancy Burks of Californi; nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by two daughters, Katy Peacock in 1978 and Elizabeth Peacock in 1982. In addition to his parents, a brother, David Peacock is also deceased. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (February 8, 2015) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Aaron Stiner will officiate and military rites will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Sunday (February 8, 2015) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be on Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
