Phyllis “Joan” Weist, born on December 14, 1928, in Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2026, at the age of 97. She was a devoted daughter to her late parents, Owen and Florence (Veregge) Webb, and is remembered by several nephews, nieces and many cousins. Joan dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), making a significant impact in the healthcare community. She was known for her compassion and dedication to her patients, always going above and beyond to provide comfort and care. She was a very devout Christian, attending the First Nazarene Church for many years. Her bible never left her side, finding strength in her faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Weist; parents Owen and Florence Webb; sisters Betty Moore and Ruth “Dudy” Jackson; brothers Jack and Gene Webb. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday June 25, 2026 at Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio. Family, friends, and all who knew Joan are invited to gather and celebrate her life, share memories, and remember Joan.
