Ralph G. Funk, age 70, passed away on Friday (June 9th 2017) at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on March 25th 1947 to Eugene & Lillian Funk in Hamilton, Ohio. He had served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, and then joined the National Guard for 2 additional years. He was an environmental technician at Reid Hospital for 36 years before retiring. Ralph enjoyed being outside, and working with his hands.
Survivors include his sons Richard Funk, and Ralph Funk; brother Johnny Funk; grandchildren Richard Funk II, Kelsey, Madison, Dillon, and Joshua; Special friend Melissa Gates; special neighbors Bobby & Henry Byrd; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Beulah Funk. A granddaughter Haylee Funk is also deceased.
There are no public services planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date in New Liberty Cemetery in Lynn, Indiana.
