Ralph R. Ketron, age 91, formerly of Preble County, Ohio, died Tuesday (April 2, 2013) at the Greenwood Meadows in Greenwood, Indiana. He was born in Preble County, Ohio on October 23, 1921 to Marshall and Marie Siewicke Ketron and had lived in the Eaton/Campbellstown area all of his life before moving to Indianapolis about 2 years ago. He was a graduate of Jackson School at Campbellstown and was a World War II veteran of the US Army serving as a Staff Sgt. In the 3rd Division Infantry under General Patton. He worked as a welder and millwright and was very fond of farming. Survivors include his wife, C. Elizabeth Ketron whom he married in 1942; son, Ronnie (Shirley) Ketron of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Staci Hicks, Veronica Ketron, Rebecka (Ryan) Brizendine, Victoria Ketron; great grandchildren, Donovan Holder, Joseph Hicks, Della Brown, Elizabeth Hicks, Bodey Brizendine; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary Virginia Clark, is also deceased. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday (April 6, 2013) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (April 5, 2013) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At the funeral home.
