Richard Barnes, age 64, formerly of Richmond, died Monday (December 29, 2003) at his residence in Carrollton, Indiana. He was born in Richmond on March 15, 1939 to James C. and Dovie Stanley Boswell and had lived in this area many years. He had owned and operated his own construction company and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife - Dovie to whom he was married 40 years on June 26th 2003

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday (January 2, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Danny Douglas of Crossroads Church (New Castle) will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 pm on Wednesday (December 31, 2003) or anytime Thursday (January 1, 2004) or on Friday (January 2, 2004) prior to the service.
