Richard T. Mason Jr., age 67, passed away on Tuesday (September 13th 2016) at his home with his family. He was born on September 22nd 1949 in Richmond, and had lived here his entire life. Richard attended the Church of Christ, where he was a lifelong member. He enjoyed watching football, and always rooted for the Cowboys and Steelers. He enjoyed fishing when he could, and loved to spend time with his dog Bo. Richard worked on the street department for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife Mary Mason; sister Eleanor Isom; and nephews Vincent (Theresa) Isom and Brian (Marlene) Isom. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard T. Mason Sr. and Lulu Mason, brother Edward Freeman; and sisters Mary Frances and Ethel May.
Services for Richard will be held on Friday (September 16th 2016) at 1 p.m. in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. David Mawbry will officiate. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
