Richard W. Smith, age 69, died on December 1, 2010 in Williamsburg, Indiana. He was born in Richmond on March 22, 1941 to Dr. William and Edith Milbourn Smith and had lived here most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School and had attended Earlham College. Survivors include two sons - Romney Scheild of the Czech Republic and Branden (Kimberly) Stewart Scheild of Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren - Alexander Scheild and Prokap Scheild. In addition to his parents, a sister, Dr. Carolyn Smith Blakey, and brother, Lawrence Smith, are also deceased. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (June 4, 2011) in First Christian Church (100 South 10th Street, Richmond). Rev. Royce Willerton will officiate.
