Rick Wright, 60, of Brownsville, IN passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was born May 17, 1958 to Ronald D. Wright and Barbara Lee Wright in Richmond, IN. He was the oldest boy of seven siblings. He was married to Tammy Wright for 41 wonderful years. Together, they had three sons and one daughter. He devoted his life to serving Christ and to loving his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid guitar player and lead worship in the church for 33 years. He formerly worked on the Richmond Fire Department and was the owner of Wright Contracting Services. He loved people and always took time to listen and encourage others.


He is survived by his wife, Tammy Wright, children, Jason (Hannah) Wright, Ryan (Ann) Wright, Shawn (Leslie) Wright, and Kendra (Logan) Weilenman, 7 grandchildren, father, Ronald (Norma) Wright, sister, Cyndi Wright (Pat Buroughs), brothers, Tim (Carlisa) Wright and Ron (Julie) Wright and many other relatives and dear friends.



He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lee Wright, sister, Mary Ann Wright, and brothers, Doug Wright and Mike Wright.


Services will be held at Christ United Church, 3430 Backmeyer Road in Richmond, IN. The calling will be Tuesday, October 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Earlham Cemetery.
