Obituary

Robert D. "Bob/Bud" Crouch, beloved brother, father, uncle, cousin, and grandpa, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in the farmhouse he lovingly designed and built. Born on February 7, 1948, Bob lived a full and meaningful life grounded in family, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the place he called home.

A proud graduate of Richmond High School's Class of 1966, Bob went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Marian University in 1970 and later an MBA from Butler University in 1974. He served his country after being drafted into the U.S. Army, a commitment he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.

In his younger years, Bob founded Crouch Automotive Repair before advancing his career with Dow Chemical, where he worked for more than a decade. In 1988, life's path took him east to Pittsburgh, where he continued his professional journey with Respironics.

Though accomplished in many ways, Bob's true passion was always his family, his friends, and the farm. He created a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who visited, making sure they felt at home the moment they stepped through his door. His final home, built on the foundation of the farmhouse he grew up in, was a testament to his deep connection to his roots.

Bob is survived by his loving family; Siblings: Carolyn Fisher; Martin (Arlene) Crouch; Children: Thomas (Kimberly) Crouch; Sarah Bean; Jennifer (Brent) Griffin; Katherine Crouch; Mara (Roscoe) Bright; Jacob Crouch; Taylor Crouch; Cousin: Mark (Thelma) Miller; Nephew: Mark (Melanie) Fisher Niece: Erika (Dave) Pitcher; Grandchildren: Liberty, Dorothy, Addison, Lauren, Ericka, Allison, Kailey, Emma, Joshua, and Roman.

Bob will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unwavering love for family, and the legacy he built—both in the lives he touched and in the land that meant so much to him. In sweet memory of our father, we will leave you with this: "Don't leave any ruts, Hoss."

Per Bob's request, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
