Obituary

Robert M. Ellington, age 60, of Richmond, died Monday (March 7, 2011) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on August 18, 1950 to Malcolm and Thelma Huffman Ellington and had lived here most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School, attended Purdue University and served with the U.S. Marine Corp for over seven years. He grew up in the Richmond First Church of God and was a member of the Druids Lodge, the Marine Corp League and American Legion Post 65. Bob was employed by Morrison-Reeves Library as a system administrator. Survivors include his mother - Thelma Ellington of Richmond; brother - Darl (Cheryl) Ellington of Richmond; nephews Cory Ellington and Jeff Ellington; niece - Kimberly (Barry) Blanton; special friend - Dale Williamson. He was preceded in death by his father - Malcolm Ellington and by a special friend - Lonnie Borden. Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (March 12, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Register will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
