The Lord called Robert E. Heitzman home on Wednesday (October 22, 2003) after a lengthly illness while residing at Golden Rule-Beverly Healthcare. He was born in Richmond on July 15, 1926 to Herman and Marie Martha Mathews Heitzman and had lived here most of his life. He had worked as a bartender and was the former owner/operator of his own roofing company. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post 315.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday (October 27, 2003) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Chuck Cotton will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council Friends may call on Sunday (October 26, 2003) from 3 - 5 pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
