Robert L. McDaniel, age 77, passed away Tuesday (April 8, 2014) at Rosebud Village. He was born in Richmond on March 11, 1937 to James Lincoln and Dorothy McDaniel and had lived here all his life. Robert had worked at Swayne Robinson for 33 years as a molder, and in his free time he thoroughly enjoyed fishing, where he lived by his catch and eat motto. Robert also enjoyed playing horseshoes, and was always having a good time. He had a great sense of humor and was known for his one liners. Robert also was known for his love of Jesus. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Anna McDaniel; Son Robert Jr. (Connie) McDaniel; Daughters Kay (Don) Watson, Shondia (Dean) Napier, and Mary (Rich) Gifford; Brother James McDaniel of Iowa; half sister Ruth Ann McDaniel; Sister Bonnie Stanley; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and 2 step great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, a sister Loretta Williams, and brothers Larry McDaniel and Roger Martin are also deceased. Services for Robert will be held on Thursday (April 10, 2014) at Living Faith Church of God (3777 Nolandsfork Road Richmond, Indiana 47374) at 10:30 A.M. with pastor Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Earlham cemetery.
