Robert E. Pence, age 82 of Richmond passed away Wednesday (April 26, 2017) at the Dayton VA Hospital. He was born in Roachdale, IN on March 13, 1935 to Leonard and Elsie McCloud Pence. Bob graduated from Ladoga High school in the class of 1954 and served his country in the US Army. He was married for 57 years to Martha Davis of Greens Fork, IN. He worked as a salesman for Universal Electric, Richmond Electric and did service for Brownies TV before going into business for himself as he owned and operated Bob's Appliance Service. He appreciated all of his many customers over the years.
Survivors include his wife Martha; siblings Lloyd (Judy) Pence of Monrovia, JR and Martha Pence of Plainfield and Carolyn Wilson of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends including special friends the Coyne family of Columbus, OH. He was an honorary uncle to many of his friends' children.
Services for Bob will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to Ladoga Alumni Association in Ladoga, IN or charity of your choice.
